Our Belief:

Our Strategy:
Kate Bee Foundation adopts the empowerment approach which is constructed on the following three pillars:
- Spiritual development: Faith in God and belief in the Lord Jesus
- Social development: Functional and flexible education
- Economic development: Trade and investment
Goal:
To contribute to the development of medium level women entrepreneurs
Duration: 3-5 years
Objectives
- to empower women to effectively develop and manage medium enterprises
- to facilitate female medium entrepreneurs to participate effectively in regional and international markets
- to guide women to develop and manage structured philanthropic activities
Target audience:
Vulnerable but enterprising women between the ages of 25–50
Expected results:
- Increase in women owned and women managed viable medium enterprises
- Increased participation of women from the Niger Delta region in international business and tradeStructured Community Foundations set up and managed by philanthropic women
Activities
The programme is carefully conceived with monitoring, mentoring and follow-up mechanisms embedded to ensure sustainability. The principal activities include:
Phase 1:- Transforming my mentality:- three-day business development and management workshop
Phase 2: Hands on deck: - Beneficiaries are given a grant (minimum of 1 million Naira) by Kate Bee Foundation and guided through a three year period of hands-on business management experience under a strict mentoring and monitoring environment.
Phase 3: Freely you have received, freely give:- beneficiaries are encouraged to establish community foundations for women to replicate the efforts of KBF at the micro level.
